the first ten days are very much beloved by Allah(Subhana wa Ta'ala).
"There are no days during which good deeds are more beloved by Allaah than these (ten) days." [al-Bukhaaree, at-Tirmidhee and others]
"There aren't any days greater, nor any days in which deeds done in them are more beloved to Allah, the Most High, than these ten days (of Zul-Hijjah). So, increase in them the saying of Tahleel (La Ilaaha illa Allah), and Takbeer (Allah Akbar) and Tahmeed (al-Hamdu li-llah)" [Musnad Imaam Ahmad]
Going on hajj/umrah, fasting, dhikr, charity, reading the Qur'an, repenting from bad deeds are all examples of good deeds that is recommended to be done during these ten days. |
